Make-A-Wish

The Make-A-Wish Foundation^® of Southwestern Ontario grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.

Since our inception in 1986 we have granted 790 wishes for children in the counties of Brant, Bruce, Chatham-Kent, Dufferin, Elgin, Essex, Grey, Haldimand-Norfolk, Huron, Lambton, Middlesex, Oxford, Perth, Waterloo and Wellington.

In 2009 we granted 84 wishes.

Currently we have 76 wishes in progress, and an additional 30 families are seeking medical approval from their child’s treating physician in order to begin the wish process.

Trucking for Wishes (TFW), founded by NAL Insurance, is program that gives back to children with life threatening illnesses on behalf of the trucking industry.  Since we began fundraising in 2007, TFW and the trucking industry has raised over $65,000 for Make-A-Wish.  On behalf of TFW, thank you to the trucking industry and all of our generous sponsors.
